MAGIC MIKE INFO:
Channing Tatum and his fellow producers of the Broadway-aimed musical adaptation of Magic Mike will accept audition videos as they cast the show, which makes its world premiere at Boston’s Emerson Colonial Theatre this fall. Casting directors are looking for men ages 18–30 “in excellent physical shape.”
Interested auditioners should send an email to [email protected] by March 17. Applicants must include a self-taped video audition via an unlisted YouTube or Vimeo link that includes:
1. A brief pop/rock song not longer than one minute in length that shows off range (with piano accompaniment)
2. A brief contemporary or hip-hop dance clip no longer than two minutes in length that shows off athleticism, technique, and any special skills (gymnastics, tumbling, etc). No nudity.
Hopefuls must also include a current headshot and resume that includes height and weight as well as current location, email address, cell phone number, and date of birth.
Artists may be contacted for an in-person callback in New York City. The musical is set prior to the 2012 and 2015 films Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL.
Performances for the Boston production will begin November 30 with an official opening set for December 15. The run is scheduled to end January 5, 2020.

WAITRESS tells the story of “Jenna,” an expert pie baker who is working at a local diner and is stuck in a loveless marriage. Her salvation comes in the form of her daughter, “Lulu.”
The character of “Lulu” is a sweet and carefree 4 to 5-year-old girl who appears in the production’s finalé scene. Qualified young girls should be shorter than 4’2 and be no older than 5 years and 3 months. Individual applicants are welcome, as are sets of twins or siblings. Space is limited to the first 60 applicants to sign up.
The “Search for Lulu” will take place in Providence on Wednesday, April 10 for two sessions at 10A and 1P. Each session will last approximately 2 hours at the Providence Performing Arts Center at 220 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence. The audition will consist of the child repeating two lines from the show. If possible, parents should bring a current head shot and résumé for each child. Headshot, résumé, and prior acting experience is not required.
The character of “Lulu” will be cast locally in Providence and two girls will be chosen
to share the role. Each girl chosen will perform in 4 performances each during the one week engagement.
