Paul Giammarco

Paul Giammarco is Rhode Island born, raised and educated, attending RI School of Broadcasting, and CCRI where he majored in communications and business. Paul was most recently in charge of account development and management at the CW28 and formerly was Director of programming at News Talk 630 WPRO and 99.7 FM. He was a co-owner of WNRI in Woonsocket for many years and spent countless hours entertaining the listeners of Northern Rhode Island.

He was also a weekend host on Lite Rock 105 from 2004-2008.

Paul’s hobbies include cooking, astronomy, music trivia and going to concerts. His biggest life passion besides his family is playing Bass guitar.

Paul has been playing bass guitar since he was 8 years old and has been playing professionally in local bands since he was 18 years old. In 1999, Paul traveled to Las Vegas to compete in the Country Music Organizations of America National Music Competition. After winning local and regional competitions for his instrumental, vocal, and entertaining abilities, Paul went on to win the national competition and took home both instrumentalist and New Country Male Vocalist of the year awards. Paul’s musical story was featured in a segment from the 2009 film about the Warwick Musical Theater, “The Tent, Life in the Round.” Paul continues to be a weekend warrior playing Bass and singing with his band the Northeast Groove at many local clubs, restaurants, fairs, and festivals.

He is a single dad and the father of three Bethany, Paul Jr., and his youngest son, James, who lives with Paul at his home in North Providence.
