Ok...so here are the answers to some of the questions I get asked the most:

How long have you been working at Lite Rock 105?

I've been working at Lite Rock 105 since February of 2003. My second day here (which was technically still my audition) was hours after the Station nightclub fire...talk about crazy! It's a time I'll never forget. To be honest, when I first heard a news report that there was a big fire in RI, I thought to myself: "great, something big in the news to talk about!" Never in a million years would I have thought it would turn out to be so tragic. As the morning went on: the death toll kept going up and my heart kept breaking.

Do you like Providence?
I love it. I've learned so much about the city: what it used to be, what it's becoming...and a bunch of years ago, I had my first NY System Hot weiner...and boy, are they good! I couldn't go ALL THE WAY though! Providence restaurants are very yummy too. Federal Hill...take me there anyday!

What's it like to work with David?
You know, I've been working with David Jones since January of 2006 and it's great. It turns out that David and I have great chemistry (even though there's an age difference...hee hee) and he really knows how to bring out the best in me. I'm more "real" on the air than I've ever been. David and I laugh just as much off the air together as we do on air.

How did you get into radio?
I did the "The Pledge of Allegiance" on the school microphone in 3rd grade and I got hooked. It's in my blood. I love to tell stories and I love to make people laugh. I also worked really, really hard to get where I am. From interning, to networking, to being in the right place at the right time, to putting in odd hours: it all worked out...and I couldn't be more thrilled to be in Providence. I truly hope to be at Lite Rock forever.

Aren't you from NY?
I'm originally from New York (born in NYC, raised in the 'burbs). After college at Seton Hall, I worked for radio stations "doing" Mornings all over the New York/New Jersey area. Back in 1998, I had one of my most interesting experiences: I was one of Danny Bonaduce's sidekicks in New York City. The job was great because I was working in Manhattan (so I finally felt like I MADE it) and Danny always had a crazy story to tell. The most looney ones were told off-the-air, so if you want me to repeat them, I'll need a few drinks first!

Why aren't you a Yankees fan?
I actually grew up liking the Mets.  In fact, I really cheered for the Mets in 1986, but we won't talk about that anymore! My dad is a super Mets fan...and while I liked the Yankees, I wasn't a diehard, so when I moved to Boston in 1999, it was easy to become a Red Sox fan. Now hockey: that conversion was harder to make. Funny story though: when I was about to marry my now-husband, Scott, my brother-in-law-to-be (Jimmy) insisted that I convert first...so I said "Jimmy, I'm Jewish, I'm not becoming Catholic, I can't do it!" ...and he looked at me and said, "Heather, we're talking Bruins-Rangers here!" So I'm now a Black and Gold girl. True story.

Do you really commute to Providence?
Yes...my ride one-way each morning is 50 minutes, door-to-door. No biggie. It's my down-time...I just have to watch my speed. I'm from New York. Once a lead foot, always a lead foot. Oh yeah--and driving when it's icy: stinks!

What time do you get up?
My alarm goes off at 3:15 (yes...a-m!), I hit the snooze for a bit (or til my husband yells ENOUGH ALREADY!) and then I'm on the road between 3:50am and 4am. I get to work by 4:45 and the show starts at 5:30!

What time do you go to sleep?
Not early enough. Between 10 & 10:30pm most nights. Now that my kids are in school longer, I may try to get my nap back. I LOVE naps!

Aren't you tired all the time?
Yeah, kinda...but I have to put it all in perspective: I get to do a job I love and I also get to spend a lot of my day with my kids. I get the best of both worlds. So tired? Yes...but it's a good life and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Plus, good makeup helps.

Are you really the only girl in your house?
YEP! I'm happily (it's true!) married to my best friend, Scott. He's a firefighter/realtor/lawyer/superhero. My stepson, Derek, will be 20 this summer, my oldest son, Jack, will be 7 this month and our little one is Dylan, and he just turned 5 in April. We are major animal lovers and up until July 2010, we had 2 Golden Retrievers. Emmett, a reddish Golden, died suddenly on July 5th of cancer at the age of 10 and Gibson, a yellow Golden, passed away 3 weeks later at the age of 9. The Vet never found anythng wrong with him so we figure he died of a broken heart. It's sad but what a great LOVE STORY, huh? We will get another dog one day...I cannot imagine NOT having a 4-legged pup in my life!

Do you really watch all of that TV?
I'm a DVR-a-holic. I record a lot...and then watch what I can before bed. I love "Rescue Me," "Grey's Anatomy," "CSI," "Vampire Diaries," "Private Practice," "Burn Notice," "Deal or No Deal," "True Blood," "Entourage" and I was completely and totally ADDICTED to "LOST!" So sad that one's over. I also watch some reality TV: "Idol," "Dancing with the Stars,"and "The Bachelor/Bachelorette."

If you weren't working on the radio, what would you want to do?

Feed the seals at Sea World. Aren't they sooooooo cute?
